Dr. Lauren Z. Gavaris received her medical degree at George Washington University School of Medicine She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University, she then completed her Fellowship in Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. She is a practicing oculoplastic surgeon and ophthalmologist caring for patients throughout the Washington DC metro area since 2008. Her specialties are cosmetic surgery of eyelids and eyebrows, advanced training with Botox injectable fillers such as Juvederm. Dr. Gavaris is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and member of the American Society of Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Washington DC Metropolitan Society, Past President of the Northern Virginia Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Women's Professional Tennis Circuit (WTA Tour). Dr. Gavaris is a professional tennis player and has been awarded Women's Varsity Tennis Big 10 Medal of Honor in 1996; All Big 10 Selection from 1994-1996 and has had the Most Singles Wins in UW Women's Tennis History.
